Well the reviews are actually done quite nicely i will be waiting for reviews from the likes of IGN, Gameinformer, Gametrailers, ect.

I don't get it, is innovation a criteria they judge games on or not? If they are leaving it out because it's sequel doesn't that give an unfair advantage to sequels.

You left the "score not an average" part, and that had me a little confused. The first review was decent but the second reviewer has some grammar problems. You know someone's not professional if he uses more exclamation marks than dots. I'll wait for some more respected reviewers but still, a good indicator of how the game is going to be. [The second one seems like could be written without having even played the game.]

It's a Halo game, it will get high scores.

i still take these reviews over IGN.

i bet IGN is going to compare it to Call of Duty and start a flamewar while talking about getting drunk and having sex.

agreed, one thing that always bugs me about the big publications is they try to sound "edgy and cool" all the time.  I still respect IGN and stuff but sometimes its just annoying, tell me if the game is good or not and thats all that I need.  

OT: not necessarily the most trustworthy reviews out there but I have little doubt Reach will garner mostly excellent reviews.

It doesn't get high scores because its Halo (look at ODST) Halo games generally get high scores cause they are freakin amazing.
