Don't really want to derail the thread much, but from the immense boss battles, to the scale, the framerate, lighting, textures and character model (Kratos), I was more impressed with God of War III.

god of war 3 really impressed me as. especially when kratos is oding one of his special attacks and the screen zooms in on kratos. That really made my jop draw because it looked awesome of how much detail there was.

The game that I have been more impressed in my life was Donkey Kong...I couldnt believe what my eyes were seeing...

i'm split

I always forget how good Uncharted 2 looks until I see some screenshots.  This shot in particular:

...has always made me go wow.

I think God of War III edges it out on a technical, given its scale and the fact that it was the first game to use MLAA (which is now making it into every other first party title, go Sony Santa Monica!), but the artstyle didn't do it for me quite like Uncharted.  The game certainly has its moments, though.

Walking out on one of the balconies of Mt. Olympus after the world has been cast into chaos (before fighting Zeus the second time) made my jaw hit the floor.

loved Uncharted 2 def. a benchmark title and one that will be in the history books of video games

I am no good at grammar =)

DAMN IT! This EP is such a good idea

Its more an artistic benchmark, personally.

Tease.

A technical and an artistic benchmark for sure

Naughty Dog and Santa Monica are gonna make some jaws drop into oblviion with their next titles, which should be anounced at least at next years E3 imo

oh and inFamous 2 is imvho the best looking true sandbox game to date

Definitely an artistic and technical benchmark all in one. It's arguable if God of War III takes it from it artistically, but I think technically God of War III (in this perspective) remains on top today.

i Agree and I actually think GOW3 isn't too shabby with art direction either. I can't wait for their next games (ofcourse this incudes Horizon :P )

Love the effort that Naughty Dog has put into Uncharted 2. A very laudable performance indeed. But the question that begs to be asked is: How will they top this????
