Forums - General Discussion - Do you check VGChartz at work?

Yes, I go pretty crazy if I don't have distractions.

My wife's company is pretty strict about internet and personal email so she just uses her phone and its 3G.

If I were you I'd change the company.

Yeah many times, and since they track what you surf here I got in trouble a couple time for it too until I started using Google Chrome and found out how to stop it from leaving a trail of where I have been.  Now they only see the our approved websites

Quit slacking off and get back to work

Well, I just work behind the cash at a gift store, so I'm allowed on the comp when there are no customers.  Convenient since I'm on VGC's pr team XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

No, never have. I never really have time.

There are computers all over the place at my job but anything game related is firewalled.  I can't even read some articles on yahoo.  Once, there was a story on the front page of yahoo that said "The secret of the rubik's cube is unlocked".  I couldn't even look at that!  Same thing, when Prince of Persia became the highest earning video game movie of all time or when the high scores in were set by Billy Mitchell in DK and DK Jr (but I bet he didn't get 101% in DKC like I did--IN YOUR FACE, "KING OF KONG!")

But I use my cell phone so it's all good.  I just don't like posting from it.  I do get to read full threads a lot more often, though.

I hope you are not using your mobile to post from the toilet at work?

All the time. I have it set as my second home page tab in IE.

I've had an internship all summer long, and I've never once checked VGC or any other leisure sites. When I'm working, I'm in my "work mode." I can get down to business and really perform well, but if I start slacking towards my "leisure mode" I will fall into a dark spiral of which I will most likely only fall deeper and deeper into, getting less and less motivated and wanting to slack off more and more. I have to keep work time, work time.
