It's usually allergy to latex, though there's always the possibility it's due to some lubricant/spermicide or whatnot. Try polyurethane ones, and there are probably other materials as well.
I don't think a doctor can do much aside from find out whether it's a latex allergy in the first place... and afaik, if you have that, you have it and that's that.

As to the OP question... yes. Only in my current relationship, about an year and a half into it.

The thing is that it's very hard in my country to get any other type of condoms except latex ones. Not to mention that those polyurethane ones you ware talking about are very expensive.

Of course I could be alergic to the spermicide/lubricant. I remember reading on a site a while back that if you're alergic to latex you have to have the condomn on for a little while until you start getting a rash, but I get a rash the instant I put the condom on. Anyway I should go see a doctor, though I'm kinda embaressed to do that and I don't know what type of doctor I have to see.

Thanks for the answer anyway.

I don't know how the medical system works over there. You can visit your GP if there's that and they'd direct you to someone more appropriate. Or you can see one specializing in allergies.

Probably worth googling if the allergy can be localized. If it's always there regardless of body part, you'll have an easy time testing with latex gloves. Maybe you can get a non-lubricated condom (without spermicide either) and see how that goes.

no, but I used a plastic bag and a rubber band once...

I know I know. It's just that I'm very prudish and I don't enjoy being exposed in front of other people. That was why I was so glad I never had to take PE. THe ideea of changing in a locker room in front of all those people terrified me.

I definately have to go and get this sorted out though. Most girls don't react very well when you tell them that you're alergic to condoms. They always think I'm lying. Maybe the doctor will give me some sort of medical certificate to proove that I'm not lying.

I'm not sure abot pregnancy rates, I'm sure its not that bad though,

as for abortion, lets just say we are not very religiously oriented when it comes to that 'issue'

still shocked the unprotected thing its such a big deal, I'm guessing a lot of people on her eare still quite young (no offense to anyone)

or else just very sheltered...

once again no offense to anyone intended, its just a bit hard to comprehend, if this is an issue then there is so much other stuff that must be huge issues to some people that we would consider only slightly out there...
