What about DLC, is it worth waiting for a package including all of them, or should I just get the main game

I didn't like the combat on pc at all.
Though I did manage to beat the game and finished every single mission lol.

I can't contribute to the actual topic as I've played DA:O only on PS3, but to this:

I can't comment on PC version either as I played DA:O on the 360, but don't miss "The Witcher" on pc! You can thank me later! :)

I'm pretty sure buying the game on its own on Steam includes some of the DLC already - http://store.steampowered.com/app/17450/
I can't speak for the console version, but I've beaten the PC version and I can't really imagine how a game like this could work well with console controls. I just like the type of games like Everquest and WoW with hotkeys. Makes things easilly accessible and quick to use. It's also more similar to an RTS where you do more micromanaging. Also, be preapared to pause the game A LOT. Because you basically have to multiple times per battle in order to organize things and keep your team alive.

I have heard about the Witcher before, but not any details about what type of game it is and why it is good
