Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Goldeneye, vs. Conduit 2, vs. Black Ops. What say you??

3 big shooters coming this fall. $50 in your bank account. Which one do you choose?

I go with Goldeneye, even though the fact that the Conduit 2 will come bundled with a headset is pretty sweet (http://www.nintendoeverything.com/43236/)

Black Ops is more for 360/PS3 gamers IMO.

I'd rather get Black Ops on PC. Call of Duty games are starting to bore me though, so I might not get it at all. The Conduit 2 looks to be a considerable improvement over the first.  As for Goldeneye, I never played it when it first came out, and it seems too dated for me to have gone back to it, but from an outsider's perspective this doesn't even look relatively close to the same concept of the original. Seems like a modern FPS with the skin of  Goldeneye. I don't know how much that appeals to me.

Black Ops > Goldeneye >>>>> Conduit 2.

I'd get Goldeneye.... but, talking about real life, I think ill get both the conduit 2 and goldeneye

It's a toss up between Conduit 2 and Goldeneye. Conduit 2 seems to have more features that I like such as splitscreen-online, but the original Goldeneye was some of the best multiplayer fps gaming I've ever had.

We'll see when it comes closer to release. Unfortunately though, neither are being developed by people with great Wii track records...

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Well I'll be getting Black Ops on the 360.  I was not happy with Modern Warfare Reflex (controls weren't good compared to WaW and not as fun) so I'm going to skip out on the Wii version of CoD this year... unless it goes cheap really quick which none of the others have.

I will be getting James Bond: Goldeneye and I already have it preordered.  Conduit 2 I'm waiting on.  I did not like the first Conduit game.  I found the single player short, bland, and uninspired and the multiplayer was the same but with lag.  So they really have to step up their game this year if I were to purchase it.

Conduit 2 > Black Ops > GoldenEye

CoD: Black ops on the 360.

Possibly Goldeneye on the Wii if it has really good splitscreen multiplayer and recaptures some of the fun of the 1st game.

Conduit 2-- not so sure.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

I really want more info on all three games.

The Conduit has split screen which was the big draw till Goldeneye showed up on the scene with not only split screen but a strong IP with maps that you know are good backed by Activisions online which is typically pretty anti hacker proof AND multiple forms of control.

CoD Black Ops much like last year, not a video, not a real peep other than a few words about online co-op.  Really I need a list from them on added features, though if it's anything like the past couple of years they'll easily blow the competition out of the water on online so it really boils down to the single player and local multiplayer since the other games are stepping it up to make those games both online AND local.

Right now even with no video I give it to CoD, if more info comes out on both Goldeneye and CoD, Goldeneye could end up being my pick in the end.

The Conduit 2 just needs to improve upon the first in a lot of ways.

As far as Wii games go, your best bet would probably be Black Ops. Treyarch has done a great job with these Wii ports over the years, while HVS may or may not have a quality game in Conduit 2. Goldeneye doesnt seem to be all that great; it seems like Activition is mearly doing it to do it, there doesnt appear to be a whole lot of effort involved.

Conduit 2 may end up being the best or the worst of the bunch. It does look like it has a bunch of improvments, but if level design and crappy online play crapps it like it did the original, i wouldnt want to buy it.
