Sonic Colors or Kirby's Epic Yarn

Sonic Colors 24 19.83%

Kirby's Epic Yarn 60 49.59%

Both, duh. 34 28.10%

Neither (If you pick this I will dislike you) 1 0.83%

Hacky Sack should be an Olympic Sport 2 1.65%

Total:121

Kirby has a better track record, but Sonic might have more content. Too early to tell right now.

I always thought Sonic was a badass character. I never really got into Kirby.

Kirby Epic Yarn no contest.

Epic Yarn as Sonic looks like Unleashed .5.

Yes .5 as it seems to only have 50% of Unleashed's levels.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Sonic colors looks absolutely gorgeus. It looks miles better than anything else I've ever seen on Wii.

However, I don't understand the game, or any other 3D Sonic game really. There is no exploration, no real combat, no puzzles, no real platforming... what's the deal with the gameplay? It looks like the only thing you do is run as fast as you can without any challenge or depth...

Can somebody explain to me why Sonic games are more than that?

Sonic Colors assuming that it's really going be a game that plays 100% like the daytime levels of Sonic Unleashed.

You can play unleashed in the dummy proof way of not doing anything, similar to how you can play old Sonic games by doing minimal exploration.  That's never how I played them though.  I played to get every ring or at least leave the level with 2 more lives than I started with.  If you play like that there's a lot to do.  Just looking at the guy playing colors I saw a lot of alternate paths that he never tried to do and a lot of stuff that he just auto-skipped past.

I wouldn't judge this game on how easy it is when you're not trying to play it with any skill and actively avoiding anything that would make it more enjoyable.

Kirby's Epic Yarn for me.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is my most wanted game of 2010! Sonic Colors looks good too though and it shows that I might somehow buy a Sonic game this gen. Its no contest though as my list of Most Wanted games puts Sonic Colors behind a few games while Kirby is on the top!(It did give me an idea though and now I will make my Most Wanted Game list in my sig.)

Sonic games on the Wii have been strong.

But let's be real ... this is the first true Kirby console outing since N64's  Crystal Shards (Wave Race does not count).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

The recent Sonic games have been awful. So I don't expect Sonic Colors to really break from this, unless there is some revelation at Sega.

The new Kirby game excites me because it's the first Kirby game on the Wii. It's also important to point out that it's being made by Good Feel, the company behind Looksey's Line Up and Warioworld: Shake it! Both very creative and fun games.

So I'll be going for Kirby. In terms of sales though, I think Sonic will win.
