Most intensely weird thing I've ever seen. Other highlights included:

- Every presenter being either Japanese and possessed of an impenetrable accent, or giving a teleprompter reading that was so lifeless that I briefly mistook each of them for President Obama.

- When Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment of America, took the stage at the beginning and it said, "Russell Simmons, Def Jam Founder".

- Russell Simmons actually being there, and their inability to play a trailer for his shitty game after five minutes of trying.

- A bunch of Mexican wrestlers weighing in before tomorrow's E3 Heavyweight Championship Match. Dr. Wagner Jr. swerved everyone by not showing up, only to appear on the big screen and channel Nintendo ("At E3 tomorow, I will destroy and humiliate you!"). It was only several minutes after they left that I realized they didn't show any gameplay whatsoever.

- Some choir singing a 10 minute rendition of some song (precisely which song escapes me at the moment) for Karaoke Revolution: Glee in front of a crowd of game journalists who were half bored, half creeped the fuck out by this point.

Just a really strange conference. I was so bewildered, I had to watch it three times. So yeah, Konami wins in my book, too.
