Forums - Sales Discussion - Will there be Move/Natal Sales tracking?

With Move and Natal right around the corner the discussions and debates are fiercer than ever! which one will be successful? which one will fail? Will they sell to existing users? all these questions and more are on the forums and around the internet!

We fans of VGChartz know where to go when we need numbers for our debates BUT will we be able to know how well Move/Natal are doing?

Of course we'll have our console sales and be able to infer boosts to console sales from the release of these motion controles but will we be able to know how Natal and move are doing holding market share? will we have numbers to compare to console sales to see current and new market saturation?

will we have natal and move charts? will we have move and natal pre-order charts? analysis tool? etc?

what do YOU guys wan't to see implemented into VGChartz with the release of Natal and Move?

ioi? thesource? any staff input?

You are right it would be nice to have sales tracking of peripherals.

I mean peripherals are one thing but THIS is game changing stuff

Everyone on all sides of the console war are expecting HUGE things to VERY SMALL THINGS and it would be great to know who was right and who was wrong who is doing well with their new controls and who isn't doing well!

(if you were referring to Move/natal when you said peripherals sorry for assuming otherwise but im asking specifically about these as it really has the potential to impact the whole console wars in a HUGE way)

Well yes I meant all peripherals however even just having the individual sales data for Natal and Move would be a great addition to the site!

lol, i made the exact same thread a while ago, and "everyone" was against it

i would like to see the sales of Move and Natal (or twist and shout)

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

why would everyone be against it? there are HUGE debates about weather or not natal/move will succeed or fail! why not KNOW how they are doing? the way sony and microsoft are marketing it its as big if not BIGGER than some of the most anticipated exclusives!

People talk about games being system sellers what about natal/move? wouldnt it be great to see how they sell by comparison to new sales or see how market saturation is!

Unfortunately i can't find the thread any more on the new site

But of course it would be great to see these Sales, you don't need to convince me, if you had not made this thread, i would have made a poll to find out how many would like to have that feature on the Site

I don't think VGChartz will/should really track them weekly. Maybe a monthly update would be nice but for the most part there will probably be tracking via bundle packs. If a game comes with Natal/Move, those will count for the sales of the game, which is the sales of the peripheral. Look at Wii Play for an example.

well i definitely think they should track them weekley but even monthly would be good enough

but you raise a good point in the time after the release of move/natal bundles it will be important to watch game bundles to gauge initial market saturation

but it would be really great to see the effort they put towords games/console sales be extended to the sales of these new motion controles

However it seams like it might be hard to gauge sales of Move as it consits of the camera AND controller and it couldnt be gauged via JUST ps EYE as some people may have that and not the controller and conversly people may/will have multiple controllers per EYE so it will be more important then ever to watch bundles!

THANKS for your input!

They should track M sales then...

I really hope so.
