So, apparently, there's actually 3 new maps announced here.

There's the Cornfield map, there's the Murky Countryside.

And there's...AIRPORT!!

Along with the already shown extensively Hospital map.


Seriously, though, an Airport level? That's practically a mall.  I cannot wait.

                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

This game is going to be so awesome. I love Valve games and they are even better for PC because you get the awesome mods people come up with!

Also, I doubt there will be cross platform play.  Which is good, because 360 players would hate playing people using a mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that there's no cross-platform play...but even if it hasn't been confirmed, it won't happen, as Microsoft's Live service is direct competition to Steam.

I do think this game could be played reasonably well with a gamepad though...but I'm sure a mouse and keyboard would make things much easier.  Imagine trying to precisely dangle your Smoker's 50 foot tongue and grabbing a Survivor with a gamepad...I can't.
