Forums - Sony Discussion - PS EYE can do what NATAL can:

Either way, I really don't think neither Move, nor Natal hold the same appeal to the general consumer (expanded audience) as the Wii.

Both however, are definitely added values for those interested in motion controls and HD compatibility.

As for this whole PSEye vs. Natal; it still boils down to the games. The PSEye by itself was hardly a compelling controllerless experience. Support has been weak at best.

So far, I see nothing for Natal that has me convinced it brings anything new to controllerless gaming (real games here; not demos or simulations of how the device hypothetically could work in the future), but any final opinions should be held off until E3.

Good point greenmedic. I don't think the hurdle will be hardware but software. I think 1:1 motion is going to be hard to program for, especially how AI will deal with a full motion player. So far it seems these games are very simple.

NATAL is doomed

Eyetoy can do this , not just natal, heck every camera can do what natal can with software.

I wonder if I pointed the camera at another screen with Mortal Kombat playing on it, would it recognise the characters moves on that? Then I could play this game with a controller : )

so you have played natal, which game ricochet?

i didn't write anything in my OP as there was no need and as i wasn't trying to exagerate.

i said MS has only showed the ball game to compare the things shown by each side till now,not trying to degrade MS.you are being delusional.

speculating?-just saying what has been shown till now,it is same

Again you are speculating (or I can use your word, "compare") on something you know nothing about.

Some people develop for said products, I coiuld be fired if I say anything more, so we won't play that game.  Have to love NDA's. Your bias shows through.  Really how else can you read the OP apart from "PS EYE CAN DO WHAT NATAL CAN DO". ......

Really..

I agree mostly :) there are going to be some stinker Natal games and some real bad Move games, I guess they can compete with the many bad Wii games :D - Certainly people should be holding final opinions until E3, for all new products, 3ds and heart thinggie included..

There will hopefully be a lot of good games for both products, to show us how they differenciate themselves from the other products on the market.

i wanna see a ricochet game on the PS Eye.
that would totally piss M$ off.

There is nothing really good about the PSEye, it hasnt evolved since it first came out apart from adding a microphone

lol........true but you can already do that on the backward compatible PS3 as  it is the exact same game that EYETOY had back i the day.
