The YouTube video doesn't show a complete overhaul, however. It simply shows improvements in the same vein of those implemented with firmware 3.0 (and are probably ideas similar to where Sony wanted to take the XMB after 3.0).
A complete overhaul implies something like when the 360 changed from Blades to the NXE.
They can change some things like making playstation store integrated with XMB instead of an app, but not a whole lot more.
Cheapy D will be doing a live unboxing of the XMB!

It needs a new interface to support 3D and the Move controller. The XMB is only really good for an analogue stick or a directional pad.

That would be most logical captain.
Just gimme the ability to listen to music anywhere (PSN Store, Games, during movies) I don't care I just hate how's it limited now.
i am good for redesign, better use of blur and themes.
but no good for complete revamps, NXE it's cluster of ads and in the end they just changed the XMB axis and added blink
why change something that already works perfectly. just a little additions here and there is fine though.
I love how the xmb is currently designed but I wouldn't mind seeing a few things added here and there.
The youtube video is pretty much everything I would love to see added to the xmb. Trophycard information displayed on your PSN gamercard? hells yes!
