Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bungie Deal: Winners and Losers

for me loser is bungie, they wanted thier independence from m$ and m$ gave that to them. then they backstab m$ by siging a 10 deal with the devil of all game companies, i hope their future games for activision all fail hard. bungie lost me and all my friends money after halo reach. just my opinion.

You can't say Gamers are winners yet. The guys at M$ could have helped Bungie with the Halo series.

Look at RareWare. Once it left Nintendo, their games started sucking hard.

Bungie left Microsoft in 2007

well ill say what i said on my last thread

"i also dont see why the x360 is going to die from bungie going multiplat, I mean the 360 still gets bungie games its just not exclusive to the 360 any more, if your a gammer it shouldn't matter wich system the game is on, but it should matter on the game quality itself."

Creativity and Activision in the same sentence? Activision is looking for another cash pony since IW left and look who they acquired shortly after.....

I wish all the best for bungie but with these events going on in Activision and also the fact that they signed with them.....it is not looking good for them.

EDIT: I just read the last part of the OP:

"The loss of Bungie as the sole Halo developer may result in a significant dip of quality in future instalments. If this happens, fanboys will have less ammunition for their flame war cannons. Which is always a good thing."

You are a sad individual if you want a top-tier series to decay just so that people dont tell you how good the series is constantly...thats beyond fanboyism.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Loser: Bungie
They will get to make one or two creative games and if they become succesfull they will be spanning sequels every other year.

Winner: Activision
They get another ultra overhyped developer to milk gamers.

Loser: Gamers
Whatever comes out will be overpriced and designed to rip people off with stupidly expensive DLC.

Loser: Creativity
This will change into another ultra huge sequel making machine.

Winner? Everyone.

Loser? Noone.

Tease.

The biggest winners are the gamers.

The biggest loser is Microsoft, but, Activision can be a loser also if they fuck this up.
