ALAN WAKE could take 20-30 hours tota! Apparently, it's 3x as long as Max Payne 2, which was 6-10 hours.

Wow that's amazing. Even if he exaggerates it should mean about 15 hours like Seece estimated. That's a lot more than I expected.

The game has six parts, the first one according to previewers is "a good 2 hours long". The official guide also indicates a more than usual game as it has 200 pages in its' standard version and 400 in the collectors'.

Huh, games have pages? What does that mean?

15 hours is great for a game like Alan Wake, because I don`t think it will have that much replay value like...say... Red Dead Redemption,an open world game.

Great news for Alan Wake fans. MS too

What was the length of the original Bioshock? I'd be happy with that

I agree, that was long enough, I don't want the game to drag on, thats how Doom 3 felt to me....

All depends on the quality of writing, they say Lost inspires them, so the game could (will!) have many twists and keep the story fresh.

I personally can't say I'm behind that.  As long as it isn't of utmost idiocy like the smoke monster is to Lost then that's cool.

Well, this is only your opinion. Smoke monster or Man in Black is very cool! And Lost is the greatest television show ever!

If Alan Wake is anywhere near Lost quality i will buy a 360.

Well yeah, not trying to smear Lost as a whole since I watch it as well.  Just saying when it comes to the horror or spooky scenes on it, the only thing that holds it together is the music.  When it comes to the smoke monster, I'm still 99% the writers had no idea what the hell it actually would be.

We already get hints of some great twists, I swear Alan gets possessed at one point!

Yeah. I agree with you, but this happens on every story that was ever written for live action media. It is very difficult to materialize everything that writers imagine on a television show. I don't doubt that they had to change original concepts because of budget restrictions or character aging(e.g. Walt). I think we have to celebrate, at least, the decision they took to end the series at some point.

Most games this gen non RPG are way to short, I think a game like Alan Wake should be atleast a 16-22 hour game. Sorry for me these 5-6 hour games are really getting old quick, now before I buy a game I check to see the length. Conviction was the last 5 hour game I will pay 60 bucks for ever again, I will wait for them to be used.
