Lets list all the exclusives that sold over 3 million units. The 360 has (1) Halo 3, (2) Gears 1, (3) Gears 2, (4) Halo ODST, (5) Forza 2, and (6) Fable 2. 4 TOTAL FRANCHISES. PS3 has (1) MGS4, (2) Resistance, (3) GT 5 prologue, (4) Motorstorm, (5) LittleBigPlanet, (6) U2, and (7) U1. 6 TOTAL FRANCHISES. Wait a minute, the ps3 has more exclusives that hit 3 mil. That's pretty good considering there are more 360 owners. other games like gt5 and gow3 will also hit 3 mil. STOP DOUBTING PS3.

I'd say most of the people on Live are there because they like multiplayer enough to pay ~$50 a year.  Most multiplayer gamers don't give a shit about story, or even touch the story mode unless their internet is down and they are bored.  Nothing wrong with that, in fact they are the most engaged player demographic which is why ODST sold more than KZ2 in one day than it had LTD.

If anything, I'd say people who don't like online and enjoy jRPGs and single player games are beta males that go online to get curb stomped, ragequit then go emo because they suck.  Multiplayer is ALL gameplay, Carmack said it best at quakecon 09 that it's like a sport, there's no need for story, it's just fun - unless you suck and aren't willing to get better.

Gameplay > graphics anyday, and it will show in sales.

the 360 outnumbers the ps3 by 6.5 mil or so, it only makes sense for their games to sell more

I didnt know I was a "beta males that go online to get curb stomped, ragequit then go emo because they suck." Lucky thing my girlfriend and employers doesnt have the same definition of playing single player game. Actually could very well be the other way arond, "MULTIPLAYER a world where beta male can finally dominate and control something :P". Would make a great publicity.

If your god-given right to express your opinion includes calling anyone who plays a shooter on the 360 a 'mindess zombie' or posting a picture of someone you don't even know and talking crap then maybe you should keep it to yourself.

Opa Opa: I guarantee I'm not the only one who took your post as racist and if you don't back off of that shit I will report you to anyone and everyone who will listen. Gears is a great series and not everyone enjoys playing as a cartoon plumber.

Stupid thread. It is only recently that hte PS3 install base has gotten close to the 360's, and also only recently that PS3 multiplats are selling up there with the 360.

Exhibit A: COD2 the PS3 sold about 80K this week, the 360 100K. That's 80% and soon with the PS3 outdoing the 360 every week by 60K in Hardware, the PS3 will be selling 90% of the 360 with multiplat SW.

I can see that this thread is just full of intelligence.

The picture in Opa Opa's post was of a guy who *happened to be black*.  His commentary had nothing to do with the ethnicity of the guy in the picture.  Insulting or making fun of someone who happens to be of a specific race isn't racism, when the comment is unrelated to race. 


The picture and quote can be taken easily either way. Both are in extremely poor taste.
