For some reason I picture Soriku's dad to look like the Dad from Speed Racer.

What was his name? Pops Racer?

Doesn't seem like a sales pitch so much as that they send out a lot of tickets... 38,000 or so actually going by the odds, all of them with the winning number.  Or atleast close to all of them.

EVERYONE comes down to try and win the prize, cept only the first person their that week wins. Which will likely be some friend of one of the employees.

Then that one lucky guy who beats all the other poor slobs their (probably a plant.) gets to pick out of some group of envelops, or some other selection processes.  With 1 grand prize, (The 20,000) hence the "Vary by weeK".  As in... if someone wins the 20,000 no one else will ever win it.  Or they don't even have to put it ins ome weeks.

Either way there will be 39-40 evenlopes.  1 with the 20,000, one with the.. HDTV or vacation... whichever is more expensive, and 38 with the other option.

So basically... you should be camping out there I guess... if it's not a scam and they already have a plant there.

Oh and of course... someone is going to try and get you to buy a jeep after you are there.

Valid for first winning number.

The odds of winning the 2nd prize are 1:38,111. The odds of winning the 1st prize are 38.109:38,111. The odds of winning the grand prize vary by week.

So, only one person can win

One winning ticket for the car, 1 for the money and 38109 for the "vacation"

You won nothing

Funny this should come up, I used to work for both a car dealership and a timeshare.

This is a way to get people into the dealership. The numbers are the same on every piece of mail.

The dealership I worked for used to "give out" a big screen TV every day... well none ever got handed out, and the funny part was: No one ever asked. If someone were to come in and ask (which never happened) we would probably have laughed at them for thinking they won.

Before that, I worked for a timeshare. (I was an OPC, though sometimes I did the "check in" for "winners".)

If it were real it would have to give an estimated value for both the TV and the vacation.  I am sure that they have had a lawyer go through there and make sure they can't get sued either.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I always wonder why companies keep on making these scratch cards and inserting them in magazines, and then I remember, because there are so many gullable idiots out there....don't be one of them!

You have obviously won the holiday so congratulations but like others ar saying they will be trying to sell you something OR you will have to pay all airport taxes, no food will be included but pre-booking and paying for your meals @ $100 per day will be a requirement of booking and the vacation dates avaialble will be something like any dates you choose between June 5th - June 12th!

You've won nothing of any value and it will probably end up costing you money and/or a lot of your time.

I've gotten things like this before. Essentially what they are saying is that you've won the vacation, because basically every single advertisement sent out is a winner, in order to get you into their showroom. Once you're there they will give you something that gets you a vacation to somewhere within the US that wouldn't really want to visit, and you're going to find plenty of strings attached. Like, for example, the "vacation" will only include your stay at a 2 star hotel and the plane ticket is on you, or something else shady yet perfectly within the terms they've set.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

The chances are really slim for you to actually get anithing . If I would have won every time they told me , than I should have more money by now that Bill Gates :P
