Forums - Sales Discussion - Sony's move will be a fad and help Nintendo to sell even more consoles

Waggle Jr. is an Absolute FAD!

I mean come on how many years has the Wii been a fad. I imagine they'll bundle it with "Super Sockboy Bros Brawl" or "Poke-me-mon Raw" so no one thinks Sony is trying to copy Nintendo in any way. It doesn't really need to boost Wii sales the PS3 hasn't even managed to equal Wii sales and it "does everything" (but outsell the Wii). It will take years of them doubling Wii sales just to catch up. The Waggle Jr. is too different from a standard controller this was a major complaint lodged by hardcores against the Wii. Sony wants to court the "active" casual gamer but whether they can remains to be seen.

Of the 70 million Wii out there I would bet anything about 80-90% were bought from parents for their kids.

You'd lose that bet. 70% of Wii owners had a PS2 last gen.

So, where'd you get that number from?

Nielsen study, though I misspoke slightly, it would 70% of households not individual owners.

To me.. the PS Move is essentially a wii HD- better graphics, better audio, more precise controls and far far far far far superior online. Its kinda like a no brainer really. Since nintendo is too greedy/lazy to provide me a COMPLETE experience, Im pretty much gonna ditch my wii after Im done playing SMG2 and zelda because quite honestly apart from nintendo's IP's the wii is starting to bore me.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
