Kind of odd problem but my PS3 won't turn off.  It's a Slim so it doesn't have the switch in the back and I hear that's bad to use anyways.

Any suggestions?

I was playing a game and I used my Logitech Remote to power it off life normal straight from the game.  A minute or so later I come back to my TV getting ready to leave and notice the green light above the power button still blinking.  I press the power button and nothing happens, I hold down the power button and nothing happens, I turned the TV back on but the screen was just black, and I can still eject my disc normally.

I decided to let it think for a while and went to dinner and came back home and it's still on with the green light above the power button still blinking.

I don't really want to just unplug it, but I don't really know if I have any other options.

I would just go for unplugging it seeing as you don't really have any other options.

But I guess you should wait for some more replies.

Happened to me within the first week. I unplugged it, never happened again... (never = 3 weeks)

I'd just unplug it dude. I've done that before and no harm has been caused.

slims don't have 1.

I wouldnt unplug it. Try holding your finger on the power turn button (if it is a touch 'screen' thing like the fat PS3's) for like 30 seconds until it resets.
