Forums - Sales Discussion - Reggie: Wii Supply to improve in March

http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=117165

Taken from gonintendo's summary of Gametrailers TV featuring Reggie Fils-Aime:

- Wii supplies will be better in March

I know this summary has been discussed in other threads but I just wanted to take this in particular seeing as this is a sales discussion site. We have seen that the first week of March had much better supply of Wii consoles in the US, and consequently sales, do you think this comment means that production has in fact increased and we should see strong sales continuing for the rest of March?

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

It's currently in stock on Amazon, so at least he is not lying.

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

If the Wii underperforms in March, Nintendo will be short on "shortages" excuses.

So... now?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

If supply is there, and March manages a few weeks of YoY growth, that means Q1 2010 actually beat Q1 2009, which was the only period of 2009 that was in any way strong other than the final month.

let's also see if the sun rises tomorrow morning. :P

I'll believe it when I see it.

And given the just how tight things have been, they'd have improve supply quite a bit before you actually start seeing systems sitting on shelves on a regular basis.
