sounds just like the PSP version

basicallly boring & too hard.....I wanted this game though :(

The PSP MH was flawed especially with the camera angles.

That issue has been fixed in the Wii's installment.

And I hope you're not equating something you find too challenging as "boring."

I suggest playing the demo and then making a fair assessment if you haven't already done so.

To all the people who couldn't get the demo, send an e-mail to Nintendo and/or Capcom, they might help u out.

No, you didn't state which weapon to use (the demo requires you to chose one from a selection), nor you do that combo.

I am going to use parts of my original post only past this point.

long sword Then use the Z button to do the Spirit Blade combo, hit a to do the roundslash that will up your damage gauge

Sorry, missed the long sword part, but how would the Z button make a combo? Do I just hold it and then press A?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Nope...........will definitely play the actual game though.

I, of course, was hit with the 'you have to pre-order to get the demo' bull so no MH 3 for me until the game comes out. I knew this was going to happen. I just wanted another reason why I don't do any business with Gamestop.

Ok thanks to my modchip I've played the demo and killed the Jaggi at least once with each of the playable characters and a few times with the long sword and have also managed to kill the bird monster with the long sword and even attempted to take on the dragon thing it calls but had my ass kicked.

My advice is to pick someone and then stick with them and if you find it too hard then maybe you should try harder as it becomes incredably easy to play after you put some time into it and start to realise how to things work and how the monster behaves, like for instance after you do enough damage to the great jaggi it may retreat back to its lair to sleep which allows you to plan a sneak attack.

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

funny that so many people are having trouble getting the demo. all i said was that i wanted the demo and the guy pratically threw one at me. i guess it is different with each gamestop.

on topic: i just got finished with trying all the weapon types. my best weapons are the longsword (spirit combo kicks ass!) and the hammer (very good combos and high attack, though virtually no defense). the damn bird thing is hard though. i dont have a problem hitting it and it doesnt give me a whole lotta trouble with damage (save for the attack that burns you) i just always run outta time. gonna keep trying though.

So played the demo for a bit. Its good but there is a learning curve. Took me forever to beat the easiest monster.

2 questions:

1. Is there a camera lock so I can lock onto a target? ( Re-adjusting the camera is very cumbersome)

2. Where is the health meter of the monster I am killing? (There are like 10 gauges on the screen)

After playing the demo I went from "definite buy" to "more than likely buy". I will play more to feel things out better.

Will pre-order MH3 tomorror and probably pay it full.

1. No

2. None. You have to watch the monster's behavior. It'll start to pant visibly when it gets down there, and it'll convulse more. Also it's tactics will change to be either more aggressive or more evasive (it got more evasive when i was using sword-and-shield, but way more aggressive as it got down there when i was using Greatsword)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
