Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Galaxy Playthrough Time

Hey, I am new. If anyone here has Galaxy and got 60-120 stars, can you tell me how long it took you? I don't have the game yet, but I want to know how long it is.

There is no play clock to my knowledge. I have around 90 stars. I reckon Ive been at it for a good 10 hours if not more.

The speedy players are doing 60 stars in a little over 7 hours. I wouldn't consider that finishing the game because the other 60 stars represent a lot more ZOMGasm to play through. Average players are taking about 18-24 hours to get all 120 stars. I'm certainly below average and it will probably take me 30+ to get all 120.

I have no idea, I just got the game and have 2 stars. By the way, don't take my avatar, I had it first.

I'd say about 20 hours for 120 stars.

I'd say I have about 4-5 hours of play in the game and I have about 15 stars. I have not skipped any stars at all... I can't imagine rushing through just to get enough stars to finish. It seems to me such a waste of a great game. Leaving stars behind means that entire sections of the game have gone unplayed or unseen. In many games, not getting every "thing" means you may have just not looked under a stairwell or something but in Galaxy, it means you have not visited all areas of the galaxy... Each area where a star is contained is unique and you don't see that part of the galaxy at all if you ignore it...

20-25 hours to complete the first 120 Stars

110 stars, played about 20 hours. I'll be at about 25 by the time I have the last 10, then I get to play through again in the "special" mode.

It seems 60 stars is going to be pretty easy, so far 40 in about 5 hours, 120 I hope I do it but I find it quite difficult to control characters on very narrow ledges in 3d platformers without falling of the edge!

That's why I'm crap at super monkey ball, although i found banana blitz much easier with the Wii remote.

I don't get why people beat bowser with 60 stars, with full knowledge that they'll play for the rest right afterwards.
