Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumor - Wii2 specs leaked / Blu-Ray enabled / 1080p support / Q3 2010

As I sadi I don't want a new wii so soon, so I hope this is fake

This is hilariously fake. I can't believe some folks are so gullible that you could believe this nonsense past the second line of "leaked" tech specs. For those who don't get it I will explain. Nintendo cirrently uses DVDs. Can the Wii play DVD movies? Why on Earth would the Wii 2 play blu-ray movies? This is such a terrible attempt that it isn't worthy of attention.

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

I doubt that every bullet point there is true, but the person who leaked this info to maxconsole is the same one who leaked the Wii specs months before the first announcement. Since those turned out to be true, maybe take that into consideration here.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

I think this is false, but unlike others, I don't find the trade in program to sound that bogus. If you think of the new market, the house moms and grandparents that bought Wiis, they most likely would not be up to buying a new console when their old one still works. Any kind of Wii 2 would not sell as magically as the Wii for this reason. However, if they issued a trade in program, that might give these people incentive to buy the new console.
These people are not like you and I. They won't go out and blindly buy a new console even though our old one still functions. Much like most people wouldn't go out and buy a LED 240hz TV when they already bought a standard LCD 60hz TV two years ago.

One reason being you would need a Blu-ray burner on your computer which most people do not have.

EDIT: Also, who wants to sit there and download a 50GB file? I'd rather just go pay for my game at that point.

no you dont need a burner to watch it, you can watch the rip on your computer and there are several players that have a harddrive that can play it too with out the need for a burner.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.
Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.
