Well, as you can see here, it is from sarcasticgamer.com....the name perhaps says it all. However, the way this man's opinion about how unimportant Mario is, it seems to me he fully believes what he says.

 My opinion is that Mario is the reason most gamers are still playing video games....if it wasn't for the Mario games, video games could have been one of the biggest jokes in technology history.

What is your take on this guys?

I don't really care about Mario anymore... aside from the fact that most games with Mario in them turn out to be above average games for fun factor. Even the wacky cash in spinoffs like Mario Strikers. Nothing critically acclaiming in most of them, but they're always fun when you've got people over.

It's always fascinating to see people who think Mario might be gay.

This is a plumber who has spent more years chasing women (one in particular) in video game history than just about any other icon to date.  Heck, he's been chasing women longer than most current video game icons have been alive (so to speak).

Master Chief is more likely to be gay than Mario.

Mario is by far my favoirte game character. Also, the mushroom kingdom and all related characters/franchsies is the biggets ever. Wario Ware, Wario Land, Donkey Kong, Luig/peach games, mario kart, mario sports games, smash, mario party, and mario platformers themselves are all part of this. I can't think of anything bigger in gaming, not even final fantasy of madden.
