At this point in time I'm pretty sure you can break the Playstation 3 sales into several non-exclusive categories; Blu-Ray fans looking for an inexpensive player, Sony Fanboys, wealthy early adopters and Graphics Whores. Blu-Ray fans will move away from the PS3 if someone releases a similar priced (or lower priced) Blu-Ray Player, the early adopter crowd is small and will move away when some new expensive gadget comes along (iPhone perhaps), and Graphics whores will probably move back to their home in "PC Land" when they can afford a Geforce 8 or Geforce 9 system in a dual or quad SLi setup. Now, Sony needs to replace the loss of this crowd with the general "Gamer" crowd by getting more games released ...

I beg to differ. I have seen on thise very forum people salivating for games on each system that hasn't come out yet. If you seen the video's online then maybe that is enough to know they are coming. How many here bought a wii for its launch games? Or a 360? Or a PS3? I know I didn't. For the Wii, I want to play the new mario and metroid. For the 260 I would love to see ninja gaiden two and halo 3. For the PS3 there are still many franchise I want to see like zone of the enders 3, mgs4 god of war 3, so forth and so on. People always buy consoles in anticipation.

why people today buy ps3: it is a HD-Player, has blu-ray, plays 1080p moovies. it is a ps2 successor, playstation brand mean good quality, good games. it has few good games: Resistance, MotorStorm, Tekken5: DR and VF5, F1, Oblivion. it is a reliable console, low chance of failure. it has free online game playing. some people buy it today, because in near future on ps3 will be released such games like GTA4, AC, DMC4, MGS4, KillZone2, HS, NGS, Lair, Uncharted, Ratchet, LBP. why people will buy ps3 in future apart reasons above: it will cost less by 50-100-200$. it will have many good next-gen games: MGS4 FFXIII FFXIII: versus Tekken6 Kingdom hearts 3 KillZone2 Heavenly Sword Ninja Gaiden Sigma Lair Uncharted Ratchet LittleBigPlanet MotorStorm White Knight Story God of War 3 Gran Turismo 5 Team Ico Project The Getaway 3 Resistance CryTek Project Bioware Project Eye of Judgment L.A. I want one for resistance fall of man and GTA4 when it gets out. And Sony products don't break as much as MS ones do.

Dont really know if Sony brand have better quality then Microsofts, but PS3 dont have the problems 360 had. But people had more problem with ps2 then xbox.

Why do Sony fans always make a long list of games comming out for the PS3?

Each system has exclusive downloaded content. But yes the 360 craps out alot and my xbox crapped out on me and my ps2 didn't, just going on what I dealt with.

Its always worse when half the announced games are multi-platform and most of the list is made up of games which haven't been announced yet ... "ICO team Project"
