Hey man, what do you think of the Xbox news today?

It had a little bit for everyone.

I could have done without the sports stuff, but I'm not a sports fan. Other than that I liked everything I saw. Of course I would have preferred games, games, and more games, but that's not what this event was about. It was a 1 hour preview meant to tell EVERYONE that this is a box they will want under their TV. Not just gamers.

I can't wait to see the 15 exclusives at E3.

Of what they showed I was most excited for the Halo TV show. But I'm a Halo nut. I'm sure sports nuts loved the EA and ESPN stuff and kids and families will go crazy for the Kinect and Skype stuff.

The only thing I was disappointed to hear is that the Xbox One won't ship with backwards compatibility. It's not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice.

While I would have loved tons of specifics, that just wasn't what this preview event was about. They showed the box, some games and features and told everyone that E3 will be huge.

Otakumegane said:Well looks like with Iwata's promotion to NoA CEO, hopefully we never have to do anything like this again. (Seriously though, Xenoblade was pirated 950,000 times...) That was probably before NOA announced it would bring it over. I don't consider it wrong to download a game that the company says it will not bring over to your region. It's NOA's own fault for saying...

The Rainclouds clear-Let's discuss the results of Operation Rainfall.

in Gaming Discussion on 24 April 2013

I'm not really convinced that Operation Rainfall had much of an affect. I'm pretty sure the games would have released regardless of the fan campaign. Nintendo of America didn't plan on releasing them because they probably didn't think the cost of localization was worth the niche market sales they expected. I'm guess they decided to released the UK localizations after they noticed they had nothing...
