This is my first gut feeling reaction too.

We're getting to an age where consoles are just tech boxes that run games. Sony first party content is one of the best Sony strengths.

Yeah. We've got to see if it'll be a move for all first party content or just a few gems to sort of market PS content.

The packet of information is the game which is the product that you're buying.

Besides as much everybody would want your price logic to be true, the fact is that that's not how market prices work. In economy and trade, price is not the sum of all costs. Price equation is far more complicated than that but to sum it up, it's mostly the perceived market value of the product.

Yeah, yeah, I can sell my toilet water to a guy in the desert that's dying of thirst for $100 a bottle. I suppose you are one of those people that thinks the American healthcare system has every right to charge hundreds for insulin too huh?

Supply of digital copies is infinite. Why doesn't price go down? The market is rigged, that's why. Killing off physical games is just further rigging of the market.

What I think, want or like doesn't matter. Just saying how price works in the real world. Besides supply doesn't matter either in terms of software and entertainment industry, because they're selling experiences and services.

For example, you don't pay for a cinema ticket a fraction of the cost of the film, you pay for that 2h experience. When you buy a Windows 10 copy, you're not paying for the copy of software, you're paying for a service that includes support, updates, and guaranteed operation for a decade or so.

Well, I suppose you know all that, so you get my point.

I'm not saying that you don't have point when the digital infrastructure could devalue the market the way mp3 did with music, but it's still another point, because it's not just like cutting the price of the disc per copy and many would argue that games have become quite less expensive in the last 20 years due to inflation.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019
