I doubt either one of these two options will lead to success. Better to just

@CGI-Quality

and have this problem discussed in public. You'll get your requested permaban, you can request via e-mail that your account gets unbanned again in which case CGI-Quality unbans it and deletes the permaban entry from your moderation history. Whether your account gets only permabanned, or permabanned and unlocked again, it's not much work to process for the mod team.

It's definitely a lot less work than having to deal with a user that wants to get permabanned and has to go to lengths to accomplish it. With the example of foul language, you'd have to do it more than a few times to get the boot for good and that means quite a lot of work for the mod team. Looking at reports, reading posts, checking your moderation history, discussing your ban length and maybe even spending time to talk with you to get you back on the right path.

It does indeed sound like a hassle.

CGI is looking into it.

I hate to see people go. And of course coming from me, you probably don't believe it but I mean that non sarcastically. I'd rather argue you stay and enjoy the upcoming releases of new hardware. Ultimately it is up to you.

If you're already set then I say goodbye and best of luck.

Thanks. Best of luck to you too.
