Wait, are you serious or just trolling? I know they filmed a few things from that script but they actually filmed that scene? The water dragon could be seen in the final film as an easter egg but I believe they did more with it in pre-production. I saw some leaked stuff of Kylo and Rey on the Island and I know what you're talking about but I didn't think they actually went out of their way to film that much of it with the set pieces. I thought maybe Adam Driver was just there for the 2 scenes that ended up being in the movie.

Damn. I know Harrison Ford did an interview where he teased that he'd be in episode VIII. I think it was with Jimmy Kimmel Live but I could be wrong. Essentially back during the filming of TFA additional scenes with Harrison Ford was filmed for future purposes (The next movie) because TFA was the last time Harrison Ford would work on Star Wars. Simply put, he was done with the character and he's moving on. The flash back scene in that script lines up with another leak that never happened in TFA and no one knew who the mystery actress was that showed up on set that day. It was kept a secret and for good reason. It's very possible that that scene done for the flashback scene to really build on Kylo's character.

What a waste for Disney and Lucas Films to spend money on resources and film some stuff from an early draft if what you say is true. Normally filming starts on later draft unless they are filming for future purposes and can only have the actor or certain set pieces or even a location. That means they were constantly changing the script during filming and even filming things out of place. No wonder the final film felt so inconsistent and the pacing was off. That's really upsetting as a fan. Personally I think the early script that I posted is much better than the final film we got. I felt so many emotions reading that script from sadness to even some anger (in a good way) that the final film didn't give. Even the jokes and laughs felt better placed. C-3PO in the casino would have been better that BB-8. Why did BB-8 even go? He needed to be with Poe. My head is spinning. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the final film but I think more people need to be aware of what went wrong and fans should hold them accountable for this bullshit. They had a fantastic story and instead they give us a barebones plot with some sick visuals and fuel injected humor.

Here's a google maps of where I live. Well I live in the top right corner of this, Tralee, around 30KM from the long lost Jedi Temple that no one knows about :D

Not trolling, the scene with the Knights was seen via telescope from land.

That's very interesting. I certainty heard a few things so I believe you. Your story does line up. Though I'm curious as to why they would cut that arc entirely. I didn't think they actually filmed the scene with the Knights of Ren or even hired actors. I figured that being cut was the reason for a lot of the changes in the film. From Kylo's arc, the impact of Hans death, Rey's relevance, Snoke's importance to the over all lore. All those things would be directly impacted by the Knights of Ren. The inconstancies of plot points show very strongly to the point it's a lot of peoples complaint about the film. I would reckon that "a lot of people" are totally unaware of the this script. Which really goes to show that something went terribly wrong in development and they rolled with it anyways. Consistency is key in the Star Wars saga. That was the films biggest flaw. The humor and all the other change in directions are minor in comparison.

Out of curiosity. Which scripts would you say is better? The final one we got, or the one that you just read? Would you say that we got a fine film in the end and it all worked out? I mean from on point of view the movie is going to sell out regardless. It's Star Wars. Disney saved a butt load of cash taking the easy way out. The thing that is worse than budget limitation is the time limitation to get that movie out on the expected release date.

You really could say that they cut Snoke out of the story. LMAO!
