If MS fixes their lack of exclusives they would be in a really nice position

I don't think they've given up but it doesn't look like they are trying very hard either. I believe the Xbox budget has been cut significantly ever since Satya Nadella became CEO so they've had to be careful in what they invest in. It's probably why they've been playing it so safe this generation.
