Why is Bioshock 1 so praised?

well told story
intriguing, atmospheric and well realized world, nothing like it that I had played before
gameplay was pretty good, and wasn't as simplified as Infinite
some really cool enemies like Big Daddy and splicers

I thought it was awesome
