That is a completely horrible way of using review scores.
Games are generally a quite expensive form of entertainment (Killer Instinct being "free", is an exception and in its case I'd just strongly suggest anyone having the chance to try it), so just looking for someone that liked the game is the worst thing you can do when you're on the fence about buying it, the right way of doing it is looking at both sides of the medal, actually reading the reviews and then deciding if you want to pay 60 dollars for it or if it just might not be the game for you.
