People seem to be divided on this a little. Is the next SSB looking to pass 10 million in sales?

No. Brawl sold 11.5M, which is by far the most any in the series has sold. I also think the franchise peaked with Brawl, I can't see interest being as high for a sequel. Multiplats aren't counted by the sales of just 1 platform.

From what little information Nintendo has given us about the new smash games, they seem to be indicating that the 3DS version will be it's own seperate game and not simply just a port.
