I'm not actually seeing a lot of support for the Wii U from Japanese third parties.
There's a port of MH3G, but the 3DS is getting MH4 in a few months.
DQX is alright, but it's a paid MMORPG, which means it won't have anywhere near the same impact of a 3-4 million selling regular Dragon Quest game.
And some ports of old PS3 content.
Japanese devs need to get further in gear with the Wii U. Maybe they're sitting on some announcements, but there better be a lot more support than this.
Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes should be on Wii U. Final Fantasy should return to Wii U. Dragon Quest VIII Remake should be on Wii U. The RE Revelations team should be put on a Wii U exclusive Resident Evil game, one that isn't an on-rails shooter. Phantasy Star Online should be on Wii U too.
