I am still not sure I like how Deckard Bane was interpreted in the film. The Joker was a better villain in the movies all round IMO.

Did you miss the part where the Joker actor died?

no why do you ask?

Because you're talking about movies. He was in one movie. Not two, or three. One. Illiterate.

Next, Joker's death made his acting a triumph, but without it Bane is better in his movie as the main protaganist. He did far more damage, was more relateable, can actually standup to Batman (he is stronger.. fact), and by all means he was one scary ass mother-efer. Joker is just an insane guy who never really got anything his way. His only triumph was realized in Rises when Bane told the truth, so Jokers only victory goes to Bane.

I just meant he was the better villan from the Nolan movies. Not that he was in more than one... Calling me Illiterate is way out of line BTW, it's just a bit of poor wording on my part.

Also I think you are far underestimating what the Joker actually did. He created 2 face destroying Gothem's (other) hero (who then basically destroyed Batman as an Icon by corrupting his image), killed the love of Bruce's life which judging from what we see in the start of TDKR basically destroyed his life for 8 years, and also did a lot of damage to the city by forcing the evacuation of all hopitals (causing many deaths for petiants that were in a critical condition and culdn't get care) and then blowing one up as it was being evacuated. The Joker is anarchy incarnate he counters Batman by being unpredictable, as Batman's greatest weapon is his ability to anticipate what people are going to do. And he is also a much more interesting character to watch.

And I don't see how Bane reading out Gordon's letter that cleared Batman's name of Dent's murder in cold blood is in any way a win for the Joker, the dent act was already going to be repealed and Gordon replaced before Bane read the letter.

Bane on the other hand at the end of the day is a pawn, he is the muscle used to execute Talia's plan for revenge. He beats a out of practice and unfit Batman, and then got beaten by a reborn Batman before Talia stepped in. And while he blew up a lot of stuff his direct death toll isn't much higher than the Jokers when you think about it. He also sounds like Deckard Cain and had a cheap death.

couldnt agree more and you forget to mention the way batman actualy find the joker at the end...with the sonar. i find this very important because this shows what a mastermind he actualy was..
