I've beaten Gears of War on Insane twice, and one the more annoying things in it is my dumbass teammates constantly running into battle, ignoring my hold command, then begging to be picked up. I typically still don't trust AI to do the shooting for me, especially when they have trouble with simple commands like "stay put you dumbass". It's like they're still operating on the same amount of health they get on Hardcore or Casual. =P

Alyx from the Half-life 2 Episodes makes for a far better teammate. Even Luis from RE4 does to a lesser extent, and that was “last gen”. (And he’s only useable in one part of the game.)

 

RE4 was also far more restictive in terms of movement and what your friendly ai is expected to do, and opposing AI was not nearly as smart.   well id  say if anything on hardcore they would have less health  ive always felt they stick to cover better on hardcore, but it has been a while since ive played rainbow has been my shooter of choice since its launch i play and beat other games and go back to it

I cant really speak on half life, ive played through it, but its all kind of a haze now... it got far less attention than several other games at the time
