Alright well then back up your assetion. How are they the most unoriginal console developers ever? Provide some examples. Highlight some of the ways they demonstrate this. Construct an arguement at all. You have a bunch of slanderous claims thrown together and you claim to have a basis. You have done nothing to support any of these claims, and can't even back up the titular one. The sad part is if this were a Wii thread it would be 20 pages longer and locked already.

SNES had online gaming as well. If you want to try and pull the "computers did it first," card then no console has ever done anything original. Computers or arcades have always done it first and thus no console maker at all is original. Consequently that means there can't be a most unoriginal since they are all copying ideas from other mediums.

dnt kno if its been said (I got bored by about half way through the first page) but if its wasnt for the xbox the wii probably wouldnt be winning right now because the high end gaming arena would be ruled by Sony who most likley would have snaged all of the 360 sales and be up on wii by about 5 mill

So nintendo can thank the 360 for distracting Sony and splitting the higher end markets allowing nintendo to dominate the lower end market

Dude you walked into a massive wall with this post. LOL, 360 can do everything you mention above. EVERYTHING. I know bwcause I do it. I download HD films on my PC and stream them to 360 to watch in 42" HD glory. Same with Movies pictures from any computer. The only thing 360 doesnt do is currently play BLU RAY films and surf the internet. But I have a pc for that. 

 

I woulnd't quiet say Console Online Gaming is here because of Microsoft heh...

When Microsoft put out XBLive, it was during a time when tons of people started getting Hi-Speed internet... It was becoming the norm.

So Sony & Nintendo both would have obviosuly had an online network...It was simply a matter of time. I completly disagree with people saying "There would be no online gaming if MS didn't do XBLive", thats just retarded sorry

Now I'll agree that XBLive sure did up the anti in online gaming, and made competition very very fierce, which is a good thing

but it was inevidable (spelling) that online gaming was coming, MS just happen to be there at the right time with their console

first off, common sense would tell you that my statement about M$ being unoriginal is my opinion, not a fact. there's no way anyone could ever prove which console in history was the most unoriginal because it's based on tons of different criteria. and it's funny that you attempt to take the "ever" part so literally, like i spent the whole weekend reading up on every tidbit about every console released over the last 30 years just so i could make this post. there's OBVIOUSLY some exaggeration in it, i sometimes forget how literal the gamer supernerds can be.

so here, i'll redo the title in a very literal sense as to not confuse you.

it's more AAA titles during it's lifetime,

it's building a console that doesn't overheat and die,

it's building everything into the console instead of grossly overcharging for addons such as $100 wifi, $180 hard drive, $159 HDDVD doorstop, and putting HDMI in it from day one,

it's not charging for online(ironically the only online service that costs money is the only one that utterly failed during last holiday season while the 2 free ones worked just fine) i suppose you're one of the fools that pays for that shit? lol.

it's making a system that doesn't hit the graphical ceiling a year into it's life(Gears of War, it's been 18 months since that game launched and we've yet to see one title that looks better on 360) while going from Resistance to Uncharted we've seen major improvements and killzones realtime footage shows that there's still alot of untapped potential.

 

like i said, M$ likes burning money so yes they'll probably be around for a while and you'll probably be lucky enough to waste your money on an Xbox 720, have it heat your house for a while, then die.
