Dreams really does look like a top shelf product. My main concerns with it are that it will likely have a steep learning curve, and will require a significant time investment to get anything out it. The whole thing seems a bit daunting.

Same.

Sony and Media Molecule have talked about adding mouse and keyboard support as well as allowing creators to sell their creations as standalone games. I think that's very important for Dreams' long-term success. If they dare to open the gates completely by releasing Dreams for free on console and PC with a 5% royalty on revenue, they could end up with a highly intuitive and highly competitive engine on their hands.

I'm very curious to see how games that infringe on other companies IP's will be handled. Could be a huge ****storm.

How did Borderlands 3 get Most Wanted despite 2K and Gearbox's shitty behavior? That's bullshit.

It's what happens when you focus on the quality of the game instead of the politics behind the scenes.

That just makes Borderlands 3's win even more mysterious.

Dreams has been in development for basically the entire generation, i remember on the PS4 reveal event they showed parts of the game but they didnt formally anounced it, (they did that later on E3 if im not wrong) and that was obviously at the beggining of the generation, so that game must have gone through some sort of development hell, so im very glad to see that the wait has apparently been worth it since its getting such positive reception.

Its a game that i wasnt initially interested in, but i was honestly very impressed after seeing those screenshots of what people can actually do in the game, if it is indeed as good as it seems then i will very likely buy it.

I still can't imagine that Dreams is gonna be big. Do we consider Little Big Planet big? Because that's how big I believe it's gonna be.

Can't wait to hear the first week sales numbers of BL3.

I've read the whole document about various avenues they've tried while building that engine - they tried ton of things and it was indeed long process until they've managed to do exactly what they've envisioned - it's quite unique.

^ this.

If a game is a 90+ meta, and its fans love it.... the politics behinde the scenes... dont matter to like 99% of gamers out there.

I can't believe the amazing announcement of Little Nightmares 2 is not considered in these so called "awards"?

As far as I'm concerned LN2 is the only game that got me enthused and hyped throughout this GamesCom 2019.

I for one am loving that meltdown, happening over on Era, about THQN winning, and how a good chunk of the users within that thread are trying to look for ways to take pot shots at anyone who likes THQN, let alone wishing to buy their games. Era is truly becoming a cesspool of toxic thought patrol police, and I hope it'll eventually go the way of Gaf, someday, but not today. Either way, their little hissy fit over one publisher winning is telling.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Makes it sound like the category was rigged for them.

Yeahh..cling to the comment from the guy that just doesn't like Borderlands...

To be fair, I fail to see how liking something is more valid inherently than disliking it.

But yeah, my comment was obviously meant as a joke, lol.
