Expecting roughly 15M PS4 and 20M+ Switches sold..

It’s only natural to compare sales between relevant systems
The hibrid console will win, with about 5 more million consoles. That´s the nature of console cycles. It would be interesting to see what happens if PS4 reduces the price. But I still think the Christmas Behemoth will win this year.
I think Switch will outsell PS4 this year, mostly thanks to the US and Japan. I don't think Switch will outsell PS4 by millions
I concur with Rol.

I have to agree RE the 1st quarter of 2019. With no direct (yet) and very little other than Yoshi on the release schedule maybe my 2019 Nintendo predictions are overly optimistic. Every day I wake up and check the news to see when the next Nintendo direct with a ton of games is coming.... Every day I wait.....

Agreed. I think both are going to get a $50 cut this year, which will help the Switch be up, as will Pokemon, and will help the PS4's decline not be as sharp as some are predicting.

Doesn't look like it right now.
Switch is selling well above last years numbers if Japan can be of any indication. They also came with a release date for Yoshi at end of March already, so we're not flying totally blind. A Direct will come eventually, and if Fire Emblem releases for Goldenweek as I'm speculating, then 1H will be up by quite a bit.
December NPD shows that a pricecut for the PS4 is way overdue, and might not even be enough to keep sales steady. 15M is the maximum I see for the PS4 this year, and that includes a pricecut before Goldenweek.
