If Let's Go receives a 70+, then it should deserve it right? If reviewers like it, doesn't deserve that score?

Anyway, for my prediction:

Pokémon: 79

Smash: 94, unless people don't completely undermine the fact that we got everyone back + a nice batch of new characters (which appears to have been really challenging for a production close to 3 years).

I was going to say 78 for Pokémon and 94 for Smash, but since almost everyone seems to think that, I'll go bold and switch the scores (94 for Pokémon, 78 for Smash).

I have a feeling the game will get a pass for running that genwunner nostalgia circlejerk.

Content wise the game doesn't look to be worth even close to $60, after how much they have stripped out.

Eh, that's like saying Star Fox Zero got a pass and scoring 69 for being Star Fox 64 in HD. Or that Zelda got a pass because its Zelda.

And in terms of content, I guess they say its in the eye of the beholder.

Wasn't StarFox Zero ruined case of the controls? That was the main reason it got such a low score, afaik.

Also Let's Go seems to have way less content than Ultra Sun/Moon, and that was 40 dollar game. I hope critics don't let it go.

Let's Go will get over 80 because sites that award their score out of five will not want to make the grand statement of giving it 3 rather than 4. I'll guess 83. Hard for it to go higher because critics will want to reserve headroom for the “real” Pokemon game next year.

Smash Ultimate will lose points over its single player. I'll guess 91. If it noses under 90 that will be real bad news.
