Any thread like this will have people telling you to buy roughly 700 new games. I'll just say this:

A new copy would run you $30 or less. Good game but don't go spending a couple hundred dollars unless it's something you really want to do. There's plenty to play on PS4 but if the only reason you're considering getting one is because you won a game, I say wait a minute.

Also, when you do get a new console, try to focus on a handful of games. Too many games at one time only guarantees that something is going to be neglected. At best, you'll rush through some games that really deserved your attention.

So which is it, you can compare them or you can't? :P

But yeah, John's right. There were a lot of people making comparisons about the two games as they were released at around the same time, when in reality they don't have much in common.

But real talk, Horizon is an amazingly epic game. One of the few open world games that I actually managed to finish (almost completed all side content). BUTTTTTT... I also finished Zelda, and Zelda is on a whole 'nother level. While game reviews are mostly subjective, I can *objectively* say that Zelda has been much more highly regarded as the better game (97% on metacritic vs 89%).

And I don't want to spark a debate, unless it was in good taste. John is among my top 5 favorite VGChartzians, and I value his opinions.

Here I was thinking Horizon Zero Dawn was more of an Assassin's Creed III Fallout CyberPunk Tomb Raider with machine-learning Terminator-dinosaurs...

There are to many games to list... but you could just pick all first party/exclusives AAA games for PS4 and have a blast.

About HZD being BotW with Dinossaurs that have been said a lot so I would agree it is a reasonable way to summarize it.

So many great games have already been named. Here is 3 that I think is worth a play, and I like.

The Order 1886 (third-person action-adventure. Good for one play-through)
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered (military-themed tactical RPG, about 50-60hrs long)
Yakuza 6 (action-adventure, open world, hostess bars with hot chicks)
