So recently I entered in a Tetris tournament and won. I wont get into all the details, but first prize was a copy of Horizon Zero Dawn. I havent gotten the chance to play it yet, mostly because I dont actually own a PS4 but I figured now might be the best time to buy one. I wont go for anything fancy, I know a local used game store that could sell me one for around $200 which isnt bad. But I also dont want to just own a PS4 for the sake of playing Horizon Zero Dawn, so i figured i might as well get some other games for it.

So first of all, what are some other good PS4 exclusives I should pick up? Obviously Spiderman is at the top of my list.

And second, im just looking for some general feedback on Horizon Zero Dawn. Avoid spoilers, but I would like to know what to expect. So far my only impression of the game is that its Breath of the Wild but with robot dinosaurs.

Okay, well first of all Horizon is NOT Breath of the Wild with dinosaurs. It's closer to a Ubisoft game than the newest Zelda. It's mostly combat oriented. Don't really know what to tell you besides that ... lol.

If you want great exclusives and are on a budget than Bloodborne and The Last of Us(if you haven't played it) are great picks (also really like Infamous, but one superhero game should be enough for now).

If you have a little extra money ... God of War is pretty great, if not for the story than for all the side quests.

Bloodborne is a must.

Aside from Spiderman, get God of War (that is a must!!!) Uncharted series, Persona 5, Yakuza series, Bloodborne, The last of Us remastered, Ni No Kuni 2, Until Dawn, The Last Guardian, Ratchet and Clank, Shadow of the Colossus.

Actually it would be better to tell us what genres you like or prefer the most because people could just list every noteworthy PS4 game (see up above)

^ all fantastic rpgs well worth playing.

realistically any genre besides racing, generic FPS combat, and sports. RPG games are open-world games are typically what im use to playing

Shadow of the Colossus is an absolute must buy, one of the best games of all time.

the main thing that Horizon and Botw have in common is that they were released in the same time frame, thats about it, ohh and they are both open world. but they are very different games

Horizon is pretty much a western action RPG. the RPG elements arent that deep, but they are good enough. it has a great world and combat. fun story and characters. id hghley recommend it

Infamous Second Son & the DLC infamous First light (the main game is a bit short but its really fun and id recommend it, you can get it for cheap)

Agreed. Can't really go wrong with anything from Naughty Dog. Bloodborne, while it isn't for everyone, is great for those that find themselves enjoying Souls-like games. You can also find a used copy of Uncharted 4 for really cheap (< $10), as it was in a bundle at one time so pretty much everyone has a copy.

Some other recommendations might be Persona 5, Dragon Quest XI, Final Fantasy XV, and Monster Hunter World. (If you're a fan of JRPGs)
