Now that Dengeki is up, the moment you were all waiting for : market share data!!

Shining Resonance (PS3) 93106 (75%)

Shining Resonance Refrain (PS4) 27623 (22%)

Shining Resonance Refrain (NS) 3756 (3%)

I'm puzzled about Octopath's outstanding success. Look at the following pictures

Switch owners had the choice between an old-looking RPG and a modern RPG with waifus, modern graphics & animation, and they massively picked the one with weak graphics. I believe that can send a wrong message to 3rd parties : now SquareEnix or anyone can make a PSOne-looking RPG, slap exclusive + nostalgia on it and say "hey, Switch fans, this is just for you". Result being that Switch would get less and less high-end games and more old-school ones with low production values.

Just show how good taste of Nintendo fans have when they clearly know what truly is a good game, not the cliche fanservice anime for otaku

Heh, you are ignoring this on purpose, do you?

"Minecraft, Skyrim, LA Noire, Crash, Resident Evil, Xenoverse 2, Disgaea 5, etc". These are late ports, use your Sony clever brain to explain for us, please

What? Resident Evil, Skyrim, LA Noir, Crash, Xenoverse 2, D5 did alright on Switch. Yay?  I'm sure more cheap ports will be on the way.

I thought you said 3rd games don't sell on Switch, late port or not? Contradict yourself? Heh

Or it shows that Nintendo fans favor 8 detached short stories instead of a traditional all-encompassing plot. There's a lot more differences between the two than just the visuals after all.

Yeah, Sony die-hard fans are very "intelligent" to Nintendo but not so much to Sony systems, got it

Your statement is not in any form of comprehensible English. I highly advise reading and revising your posts so they do not come off as incoherent bumblings.

Yeah, please teach me how to pretend "selling fine" = "don't sell", please. Sony fans are always clever and correct just like Sony slogan:"For The Player", how pro-consumer are they such as ps2 classic game on ps4 for ps2 fans or crossplay for everyone to enjoy no matter the platform, yeah

You apparently lack the ability to read properly or otherwise cannot fully comprehend it at least. Or can you find a post where I said third party games "don't sell" on the Switch? I have never said that because I don't make foolish statements like that. Keep studying English. It's a tough language I know but you'll be able to communicate properly eventually.

"Because that's usually the excuse I see for poor Switch sales. Yet Shining Resonance Refrain was a late port/remaster and had no issue at least breaking 20k in Japan on PS4", how about Disgaea 5 and DBZ Xenoverse 2? "If you are happy with the Switch not breaking out of the kid/party/family/indie sphere of games in terms of third party multiplatform sales then I guess you can stay content" Doom/Wolfenstein 2/Skyrim must be a big flop on Switch, heh

Regarding Japanese 3rd party game sales the trend seems to be that they sell worse in Japan, but in the west have stronger debuts then the PS4 version even if they are late ports according to an insider at Resetera, so I don't really see a point in bringing up the poor sales of Shining Resonance Refrain in Japan if it's highly likely the western sales were better on Switch...

And nowhere there do I say that third parties do not sell on the Switch. I wish you luck in your continued study of English.

So...in Japan is it called Octopus Traveler for real?
