Yup it's been a disaster. But I'm actually feeling pretty positive about Arteta. For the first time this season it looked like we actually had a gameplan and overall it was a good game. Arteta was let down by the quality of our players, especially forwards. Scraping points ain't that important for me anymore this season, I want to see improvement and identity.

Sounds like a long, long road back up now. Well, I'm not exactly an Arsenal fan, but hopefully y'all can at least get back to Champions League football sometime soon or something.

Could be, but then again it might be only a few new signings to make things click. Champions League is crucial of course, but I just want us to play entertaining football again :P

So Rayo Vallecano will be fined 18k euros and its stadium partially closed for 2 matches after the Rayo-Albacete incidents a few weeks ago, when the match have to be stopped due to chants from Rayo fans calling Albacete's player Roman Zozulia a nazi.

This was the first time a La Liga match is stopped due to something like this. So, homophobe or racist chants are ok, Griezmann die is ok, but calling someone a nazi is going too far.

Spoiler!
Not really surprising given that Javier Tebas, La Liga's president, belonged to a far right party in the past.

I don't know where they get the idea he's a nazi btw.

They've even had incidents like Figo having a pig's head thrown at him.

What are the pictures supposed to mean? I just see a guy with some random old guy on a scarf, a gun and basketball. None of that screams nazi to me...

The picture with him holding the gun is what got him in trouble due to the symbol on it and the wording, the symbol is the coat of arms for Ukraine and the writing is where the issue stems from as because he held the gun in a certain angle it cut off what was written on the shirt so the top word looks like the first part of the name for Right Sector a far right group in Ukraine whose full title when written features the symbol in the middle of the words. In truth the words were something else but this has become a go to thing for rival fans to attack him with.

14/88, the score he's pointing at in the right pic, is well known nazi symbology, and it never happens in a normal basketball match.

The middle pic is cut off, but Zozulia is an Azov Batallion supporter, known for its use of nazi symbology. In 2018 the US Congress banned any military support to them on the grounds of its white supremacist ideology.

The guy on the scarf is Stepan Bandera.

That come back... That slip by Otamendi has shades of Gerrard's slip years back.

...

So Arsenal just did it again... In the space of 5 minutes.

Hurts that loss, don't know why Arteta wanted to sit back with this team. They looked tired and it made everything even more difficult. Chelsea wasn't really building anything too threatening until Leno's mistake.

Brilliant 1st half and we looked organised most of the game. Half the squad weren't our first choice players. Still convinced Arteta will build something great.

I think Tottenham are proving it's not the managers that are the issue but something deeper and this has been going on for decades at this point.

Hopefully the new blood will sort this out. Strange how a team can collapse so suddenly.
