Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sonic and the Secret Rings Vs. Super Mario Galaxy Vs. Crash of the Titans

It's Sega Vs. Nintendo Vs. Sony

Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog Vs. Nintendo's Mario Vs. Sony's Crash Bandicoot:

Sonic and the Secret Rings Vs. Super Mario Galaxy Vs. Crash of the Titans

Who will prevail?

These are my thoughts...

1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. Sonic and the Secret Rings
3. Crash of the Titans

What are your thoughts?

Lol @ sonic and the newly bastardized crash.

Edit: I suppose I should contribute something to the thread.

I see them stacking up in the same order you listed. With crash being a large bomba. I remember liking crash bandicoot but it went to hell once ND let go of it.

First off, Crash is no longer a Sony product (it is available for the XBox 360 and Wii) ...

Anyways both Sonic and Crash are (at best) above average games which will be worth buying/renting; Super Mario Galaxy (like every Mario platformer) will become one of the defining games for the genre in this generation.

unless youre comparing developers, i wouldnt compare sonic and secret rings to mario galaxy. secret rings was not a fun game and mario...well i shouldnt have to explain that one

Wii ID: 3598-1817-7961-3393. PM me if you want an add

If it wasnt for MGS4, the PS3 is unnecessary

I found Secret Rings very, very frustrating, but still fun. After re-doing courses over and over in order to finish them, I got a great sense of accomplishment. I agree, it could have been better. Just saying, still fun.

As for this thread, I agree with Blex. It is difficult to understand wheter you want a develepor comparison or a game comparison or an icon comparison.

Ill just agree with your order.

Just like Sonic after he left the Dreamcast...

And Donkey Kong after Rare went to Microsoft...

And Star Fox after Star Fox 64...

And Spyro the Dragon after Insomniac left...

And Pac-Man after Pac-Man World...

Not to sound like a Nintendo fanboy, but Mario Galaxy is way above those other two games...it's just pure quality for the win.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Mario just has the Miyamoto factor going for it. It's not fair to hold other games up against his products. They have been quoted on saying that.

Wow... I didn't know Mario Galaxy was going to be that great. Now I really want to buy that game. Super Mario Sunshine was last generation's best platformer (look at the reviews), so I wouldn't be surprised if Super Mario Galaxy is this year's platformer. I don't know why some people complained about Super Mario Sunshine. I thought it was much better than Super Mario 64. Oh well...
