My biggest problem with Amd gpu is even if they release a card that's competitive, it's still hard to buy due to all the driver issues. Look at gamers nexus videos and all the issues they have had. If I am gonna buy a flagship card, I don't want it to have any issues, specially from drivers.

That and well, if the card is priced just as high as Nvidia likes to, then I honestly don't see the point in jumping to AMD. AMD are more or less being known for better prices, and if they decide to drop that, and still continue with the driver issues, then they've got nothing outstanding in the high end dept.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

This Roblox game about adopting pets had more players this week than Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-roblox-game-about-adopting-pets-had-more-players-this-week-than-mount-and-blade-ii-bannerlord/
Roblox is a world unto itself. While we busy ourselves with the likes of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and Doom Eternal, a cutesy Roblox game about adopting pets and family members has managed to accrue more concurrent players this week than both of those games combined.
It's called Adopt Me! , and according to its creators DreamCraft, it managed to rack up 683,404 concurrent players this week. That can be attributed to an April Fools update: The lure was a "free temporary pet rock" as well as perks like "double pet aging" and "bucks". You also got an "increased furniture limit and backpack space" as well as "extra seats in some cars for your pets". I don't quite understand what any of that means, but it definitely sounds cool.

Created by modder ‘r57zone’, this mod allows you to pull up objects (using the capabilities of the engine), reload weapons, fire weapons, and use a wrist pocket for an object. Basically, all of the gameplay mechanics of Half-Life: Alyx now work with a mouse and keyboard.
Do note that we still don’t know whether the full game can be finished with this mod. Moreover, this mod is behind a Patreon wall for its early version. The modder does plan to release a public version at a later date. In future versions, r57zone also aims to further polish these K&M gameplay mechanics.

The second part of the Friday news:

The studio behind 80 Days is making a 'strategic narrative' retelling of King Arthur's final battle
https://www.pcgamer.com/inkles-next-game-is-a-strategic-narrative-retelling-of-king-arthurs-final-battle/
In January, 80 Days studio Inkle teased its next project with seven words and a cryptic warning that "Camelot has fallen." It struck me as very Arthurian, and so it is: The studio announced today that its new game is Pendragon, a retelling of the legend of the Round Table that's directed by actions and outcomes on a randomized game board.

Apex Legends brings back Duos mode and Kings Canyon as permanent fixtures next week
https://www.pcgamer.com/apex-legends-brings-back-duos-and-kings-canyon-as-permanent-fixtures-next-week/
A new lore event is dropping for Apex Legends next week, on April 7, but forget about that for a minute—there's more important things happening on that day. The real headline here is the permanent addition of two new (by which I mean returning) features.

Elite Dangerous's Fleet Carriers beta is launching next week

Darkest Dungeon is getting PvP DLC in May
https://www.pcgamer.com/darkest-dungeon-is-getting-pvp-dlc-in-may/
Yesterday, April 1, Red Hook Studios teased upcoming new DLC for Darkest Dungeon: Last-man-standing, hero-vs-hero arena fights! A clever gag for April Fools' Day, indeed—except that it wasn't. It was, in fact, the ol' double-reverse fakeout: The Butcher's Circus PvP DLC is real, and barring unforeseen delay it will be out next month.

New Witchbrook screens showcase a dramatic new look
https://www.pcgamer.com/new-witchbrook-screens-showcase-a-dramatic-new-look/
It's been a long time since we last heard anything about Witchbrook, the mysterious magic school RPG in the works at Chucklefish—all the way back to January 2019, I think, when we expressed hope that it would be out sometime that year. Obviously, that didn't happen.
Today we got a look at a possible reason why, as Chucklefish dropped a trio of new screens showcasing a dramatically overhauled visual style.

Rogue Legacy 2 announced
https://www.pcgamer.com/a-rogue-legacy-2-announcement-seems-imminent/
When Rogue Legacy first released in 2013, the world wasn't quite as awash in roguelite platformers as it is now. I reinstalled it a few months ago, and can gladly confirm that it wasn't novelty that carried it to success back then: it's a genuinely fun take on the formula, and the randomised character loadouts still manage to surprise and amuse.
So it's good news that studio Cellar Door Games appears to be teasing a sequel. The studio posted the following tweet earlier today, seemingly confirming a full announcement for tomorrow.
Update: Cellar Door Games has confirmed Rogue Legacy 2 with a follow-up tweet. There are no more details at the moment, but it's definitely happening.

Judge rules that Call of Duty can have Humvees in it because games are art
https://www.pcgamer.com/judge-rules-that-call-of-duty-can-have-humvees-in-it-because-games-are-art/
Back in 2017, Activision was sued by AM General, the manufacturer of the Humvee, over its use of the famed military vehicle in the Call of Duty series. AM General complained that Activision doesn't have a license to use the Humvee in its games, yet it has "reaped billions of dollars in revenues from their wrongful acts and ... irreparably harmed AM General by causing significant confusion" among consumers. The company demanded an injunction against Activision's use of the Humvee, and the usual array of damages, legal fees, and whatever else the court deemed "just and proper."
The case finally came to an end earlier this week, and as reported by Ars Technica, the court came down squarely on the side of Activision, determining that it has a First Amendment right to use the Humvee trademark in its games.

Days of War, an intense WW2 shooter, is free on Steam for the weekend
https://www.pcgamer.com/days-of-war-an-intense-ww2-shooter-is-free-on-steam-for-the-weekend/
Days of War is a multiplayer first-person shooter reminiscent of the days when the world was awash in historical war games. Tyler had fun with it when it launched in January, though he noted that it was sparsely populated, which may have since changed.
It'll probably be busy this weekend though, because it's free-to-try on Steam. The gates are open for two days, though if you want to keep playing, there's a fifty percent discount until April 10. If you long for the simpler days of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, it's definitely worth jumping in for a round or two.

Well AMD are working on ray tracing from their own end, and we'll eventually see how that turns out within the next 2-3 years. I'm still waiting on either of them to come up with a new AA method, that isn't blurry af like TAA, but isn't stupidly demanding as MSAA. One of them could come up with a new method (and actually stick to it, unlike Nvidia, who dropped MFAA support) and have something else to add to the value of their end of things.

At this moment in time though, I only see AMD as being the bargain prices vendor in the GPU dept. Their CPU dept is both good pricing and performance metrics.

Nvidia is good, but they price stupidly high, because AMD cba really nailing a good high end GPU, and also beating them on price.

The only way I'll ever go to AMD for a GPU, is if their drivers get in top shape, their high end performs on par, if not better than Nvidia's high end, as well as being prices a bit if not more lower than Nvidia's end.

Steam breaks yet another record of concurrent players, now has over 24 million players online
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/steam-breaks-yet-another-record-of-concurrent-players-now-has-over-24-million-players-online/

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord was able to hit the fourth place, and Grand Theft Auto 5 is now in the fifth place. Rainbow Six Siege also lost one place and Rust was able to hit the sixth place. Football Manager 2020 is in the eighth place and ARK: Survival Evolved is in the ninth place. Lastly, in the tenth place, we find Monster Hunter World.

Spine is a new Playstation 4 emulator, 20-50 games can go in-game, demo available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/spine-is-a-new-playstation-4-emulator-20-50-games-can-go-in-game-demo-available-for-download/
Back in February 2020, we informed you about a PS4 emulator that could run some commercial games. However, it appears that there is another Playstation 4 emulator under development. This emulator is called Spine and is only available for Linux.
According to its creator, there are 20-50 games that can go in-game with this emulator. Now obviously these games have a lot of artifacts and glitches. Not only that, but most of them are indie games. So yeah, don’t expect playing Marvel’s Spider-Man on your PC anytime soon. Still, it’s really fascinating witnessing these baby steps for the Playstation 4 emulators.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/resident-evil-3-remake-mod-uncaps-the-animations-of-distant-zombies-allowing-them-to-run-at-60fps/
Similarly to Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake locks the animations of distant zombies to 30fps. Naturally, this can be really distracting, especially on the PC. Thankfully, though, there is now a mod that unlocks/uncaps the animations of all distant zombies.
Created by modder ‘WT3WD’, FPS Zombies will allow all distant zombies to have animations at 60fps or more. All you have to do is download the mod from here. Then, you’ll have to run the game and THEN run the file. Afterwards, you’ll have to press F2 to enable the script and F3 to activate the 60fps hack. And that’s it.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-witcher-3-redux-v1-9-released-tweaks-adaptive-human-intelligence-fixes-bugs-glitches/
Modder ‘Aleks Vuckovic’ has released a brand new version of his gameplay overhaul mod for The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 Redux version 1.9 brings major improvements and tweaks to Adaptive Human Intelligence. Moreover, it fixes a number of bugs and glitches.
Going into more details, The Witcher 3 Redux V1.9 removes “AHI” logic from “Peasant class” human enemies and slightly lowers AHI buffs. Furthermore, dodging attacks will now change human enemies’ tactics and they will increase their speed to compensate. Also, Samum bombs will now remove all buffs applied from AHI and permanently “disorient” human enemies.
On the other hand, this latest version fixes issue where the combat skill “Cold Blood” did not provide an Adrenaline Point when killing an enemy. It also adds graphical HUD element for the Fatigue mechanic. Additionally, it fixes an issue where Manticore Gear did not provide Stamina Regen bonuses despite now being a Light Armor.

Some of Stardew Valley’s items are a bit boring, especially the magical ones. They just sit there, you pick them up, and you’re not even that proud to have found them. You wouldn’t show them off in your house because they just… sit there. This is no longer true, thanks to the work of intrepid modder Gervig91’s series of Animated Stuff mods. First there’s Animated Slime Eggs and Loot, for your glowy solar essences and spinning void bits. There’s also Animated Furniture and Stuff to give life to some of the more boring things in your house. Finally, Animated Food and Drinks makes every item in the game a steamy delight to observe. How can you resist these delights?

Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Minecraft Harry Potter RPG, is complete

The Floo Network, a team of Minecraft modders, has spent the last four or so years diligently carving out an elaborate Harry Potter RPG inside the sandbox, and it goes well beyond what you might expect from a Minecraft mod. After being in alpha for just over a month, it's now ready for prime time. Check out the launch trailer above.
Right away, when those bricks magically part to reveal the street (the name escapes me because the last time I read Harry Potter it was an entirely different millennium) it's clear we're dealing with something a bit special.
