Final Fantasy XV ended with 470p and 690k on MC,

MC are a thing of the past. Famitsu are the Superior Tracker now. FF XV sold 716,649 first week.

Bonus: FF XV was bundled in Film Collections Box FF XV so some sales weren't recorded because it counted as home video sales, which was 2k first week.

Nice to see Final Fantasy VII appearing so early, it will be huge in Japan. I'm expecting it to easily outsell FFXV. I'm a little surprised that Death Stranding hasn't appeared yet, it shot upto the top of Amazon after the release date and trailer were shown. Any predictions on when it will show? Im thinking it could do around MGS V numbers.

If it follows the same track as Let's Go (and I don't see why it wouldn't as they have the same release window) then there will be a big Pokemon event in mid-July and pre-orders will open around that time.

You’re right, July 11th

Final Fantasy XV ended with 470p and 690k on MC, I believe FF7R can sell 1m at least, first week. As far as points on COMG though, it's a bit harder to predict because I don't know if stores have closed since then, there is a 3 year gap. I'm hoping for 800p+. Unless I'm way off and it reaches FF XII- FF XIII numbers, because it is such a big deal for the franchise and there is so much nostalgia with the game.

I think FF7remake will reach Numbers Like Monster Hunter if not higher, we shouldn't forget it's mit only a Final Fantasy Game, it's "THE FF GAME"

FF7 and AL increasing today. Good day.

Perhaps FFVIIR will be the next game to manage over 100 points? Because none of Nintendo's big games look to be up to the task right now...

Final Fantasy might be the most movement we see until Pokemon opens for preorders.

When does Nintendo make Pokemon pre-orders available? Seeing as Pokemon are releasing 5 months before FF7R, they would be open by now.

Pokemon vs FF7R will make for an interesting battle in the chart.

As multiple people have said in this thread, Pokemon preorders don't open until July. July 11th, apparently, though I don't know what their source is. But I don't think it will be all that interesting. If Pokemon and Final Fantasy are competitive, that's bad for Pokemon. Pokemon has long been in a tier of its own in Japan. That's not an insult to Final Fantasy, either, it's just the historical data. FFVIIR is already looking like it'll be one of the most impressive remakes we've seen on this chart, so like thinkman said it'll probably zoom past FFXV, but don't be worried if Pokemon zooms past FF, that's to be expected and anything less would be a disappointment for Pokemon. If FFVIIR actually competes on Pokemon's level, it'll likely go on to be the best selling Final Fantasy ever.

Here's Pokemon X/Y's first day, you can see Monster Hunter beasting too:

I shouldn't say Pokemon is in a tier all of it's own, Monster Hunter is there too, but that's it. It's a long way down to the next tier with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest and friends. Yokai Watch once looked like it would join one of those tiers, but it's looking pretty fucking dead right now.

Wow, that was a trip down memory lane though. Back then, Monster Hunter and Pokemon had few if any days below 10 points, and would often have long steaks of 30+ or even 100+ days. COMG just isn't the same now.

Suddenly Sword Art!

A wild SAO appears

I would argue that Splatoon would also be up there under better circumstances. Splatoon released on the Wii U, which never took off, and Splatoon 2 within 5 month of the release of the Switch, thus not having  much of an install base for preorders yet. A splatoon releasing now probably would get similar preorders than those two franchises.
