The Gaming industry is a business. IF they see that casual gaming is greater than Extreme Hardcore, they will move that way. I would not want that, but businesses go where they money is.

You could not say it better. That is EXACTLY what I am saying.

Congratulations! You have moved past denial into anger. Next comes bargaining, depression then finally acceptance.

Alright, I'm too lazy to read all the post up to this point so I'm gonna ask.  What's the argument here?  Just from skimming it looks like another attack Kwaad venture.  Trust me there's a better way.

You might want to take a look at who started the thread. Might as well have some fun if he's going to troll.

OMG KWAAD IS EVIL, Kwaad is stupid.

Look guys. I clearly state, this is my opinion, I clearly state, this is what I think is gonna happen. I am NOT saying this is what you want. Look, Hello Kitty online is coming out soon. That is a game for you. Go buy it.

I do not like simple games. I like complex games that work. Nintendo is anti-complex. THey have proven it agian and agian, and are moving away from complex faster and faster every day. I DO NOT LIKE THAT.

No, Kwaad is not evil or stupid. He just thinks that the industry should move in HIS direction, ignoring the fact that Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft don't give a sh*t about him or what he wants.

He doesn't understand that epic or complex games are made and will be forever made as long as there are people buying them and not because they're better or much rewarding than the rest of the games.

Kwaad is not evil or stupid. He's just naive and biased.

If you read what is highlighted... Your right. :D

Sony is releasing massive scale games. LAIR is on a larger scale than most of nintendo games combined. Heavenly Sword, God of War. These are all the way sony is going, and all the way I want games to go. Microsoft is going the same way. Fable2, is supposed to be my dream game... but I doubt it will work. But it's goal is what I want. (but I doubt it will work right)

If the PS3/360 sales dont have a good portion of the market, massive games on those platforms will not exist, and as long as they dont exist on those platforms, they might as well not exist, becuase I've been playing the progressivly growing PS2/GC/x-box generation for a long time, and that generation came to a climax, and then the 360 came out. The PS2 ran stagnant for a whole year because they ran out of power. The Wii does not have that much more power. So actually if the Wii dominates, Massive scale games will run stagant untill a faster console comes into power. So no they wont vanish. But they wont improve either. And a game that does not improve, is not a reason for me to buy it. Why? Because if it's the same-ol-same-ol. Cant I buy the older one for my PS2 for 20$, instead of buying the new one for 50$? Or cant I buy oblivion for my PS3/360/PC, wich is better, than buying... Elderscrolls 5, exclusive to the Wii and suck?

My point is, if the Wii wins, Massive scale games are put on hold untill the 8th gen consoles.

If the Wii win and Massive scale games are put on hold, that's because there is NO MARKET for massive scale games! THAT'S PEOPLE CHOICE, not Nintendo. I dont see Iwata pointing a wiimote to consumers saying "Get that Wii or I'll shoot!"

If the market buys the Wii over the PS3 and the 360, that's maybe because they prefer to play Wii Sports than Gears of War? Is it Nintendo's fault? They shouldn't come up with something that people like? The bastards!

wii is a joke and its games suck. Its a hype driven fad, you payed $250 for a controller. truth hurts.

I'm aware that Kwaad started this thread and that his threads are usually senile and ready to pounce on any bizzare faults he conjures up with Nintendo. @Kwaad ;)

What annoys me more is how people respond and start attacking him. The best way to deal with this is to leave short posts which are logical and disprove his points. It's fun to debate you know.

Personally Kwaad, I don't give a shit if you sell your Wii or talk crap about it, because all you do is make it seem like YOU'RE important and crap. To Nintendo and the rest of the gaming companies, you're a pile of trash, so go on and quit. Like anyone's going to care.

There's little point directly responding to Kwaads complaints.  Hard core games aren't going anywhere, hard core games can be made on the Wii quite successfully.  If Sony and MS idiotically wrote themselves out of the market then hard core games will move to the Wii.  If Kwaad and Hus have to lower themselves to playing them on the Wii they shouldn't blame Nintendo for succeeding but blame their beloved Sony for being so stupid and killing the ability of their console to profitably host games.  However, if as Kwaad and Hus claim the PS3 is so uber-awesome that it will eventually sell well despite it's uber-price then what's the point of complaining about Nintendo satisfying the majority of its own consumers?  Kwaad, you chose to be a Nintendo consumer and if you don't like how Nintendo does things then you can freely choose to not be a Nintendo consumer.

One point that should be made for those trying to be rational on this thread, how many of those games are even being made by Nintendo?  Many Nintendo games these days are made by 2nd or even 3rd party devs.  Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Minish Cap, Link to the Past (GBA), Four Swords were all developed by Capcom.  Most of the Mario sports games have been made by Camelot.  Excite Truck was made by Monster Games.  Disaster Day of Crises is done by Monolith.  So not only are these games probably staggered over 3 years, and a good share will never be released, but also many are probably being produced in conjunction with another company.

These are the kind of statements that should make people offended, not Kwaad's.

Of course less people respond to him, I'm guessing because he's always saying the same thing over and over.  He's not a creative a Kwaad but his message is clear.
