I want to pre order god of war 3 ultimate edition. I think im going to order on amazon. My questions when does amazon chrge my card? will they charge immeadiately?

no they charge when it releases or they ship it to you. if the price decreases at all between when you pre-order and release they will use cheaper. if it raises, you still only pay the cheapest.   But since they dont' charge till it releases and whenever the hell that is, make sure you have money in that card (if not credit card) when the time comes.   being months away you can forget about it.  I sometimes get stuff in mail i completely forgot i bought a long time ago pre-ordered.

You get a costume from amazon, and you get two costumes from gamestop(for preorders) Amazoon only charges you when they ship the item. never before that.

Right, they charge you when they ship, as sometimes when you order stuff for whatever reason they can't meet the ship date so you can cancel your order and pick it up at best buy :P
