so people can pirate games? yes sounds like a great idea.

and?it would sell better with UMD...i want a Go but not without UMD...and pirate...if a hacker want to pirate the games than he will buy a normal PSP so in the end it doesnt care if it comes with or without UMD!

without the UMD drive you get better battery life... if people want UMD they should release a separate attachment for it. I do not want physical games myself, sadly im stuck with my PSP 3000 due to me reviewing PSP titles for this site and all copies are UMD based.

Well the PSP Go without a UMD drive gets about the same battery life as a PSP 3000 with a UMD drive.

"We have adopted an embedded battery to realise a smaller and lighter PSP system," Grant explained, leaving out the boost this design decision gave to anti-piracy measures. "The battery life is equivalent with the current models meaning approximately 3 to 6 hours for gameplays and approximately 3 to 5 hours for playing back videos."
Though if they did want to relaunch the Go with a UMD drive they would have to include a better battery otherwise it would perform even worse compared to the 3000 if they were both equipped with UMD drives.
