Forums - Sales Discussion - Namco Bandai figures: Ben 10 outsells all and Wii is the top performer.

nice to see they did well on Wii, and obviously they had more profit on Wii than other consoles

but, if Namco that is doing great on Wii (has nothing to blame) still has losses, means, gaming industry is going to hell!!
(except Nintendo)

also, i can say Namco is making great Wii games, may has the less crap on Wii

I think they'd be pretty justified in disappointment over Tales of Graces.  Then again, previous Wii Tales sales sort of imply that might've been more their own doing than the audience reception itself... launching a week before FFXIII was a death sentence.  I'm actually kind of curious to see how the budget reprint of KOR does this month.

Taiko didn't hit their expectations iirc (wasn't it 450k?) but came close enough and the game's legs will take it past that anyway.  Other than that, they really didn't have any notable Wii releases, and nothing really appealing for foreign markets.  I still say they should've had a Wii Tekken 6 ready to go, it would've likely outperformed the PSP version at least.

Blaming the Wii when it's been your best performer for you is like a football coach who used bad tactics blaming his best player who performed really good but not excellent and then his team don't win the world cup. The coach is relying/expecting too much on 1 player and as a result poor tactics cost his team the title. In fact this seems like a lot of 3rd parties reasoning.

Blaming others for your own shortcomings.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

It's been a tough year for Namco Bandai. Tekken 6 was overshipped, Tales of Graces sales were highly disappointing, Afro Samurai underperformed and Dragon Ball Raging Blast, Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo, Tekken 6 (PSP) and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny bombed hard.

Why didn't they include US and Eu sales for Tekken6? The game has 1.3M WW on the PS3 alone...

4 ≈ One

Rough times for Namco. What was their profit for the las few years?
How far will this set them back?
Will MS or Sony do a hostile take over or throw money at them for exclusives?
Will Namco stick with the Wii and stay there?

Stay Tuned!

It's just that simple.

that's true...

DragonBall games did very bad   :   (

i believe they should have released Wii versions of Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur Destiny, since they did Psp versions wth nice graphics, they would just need to think about the cotnrols or include Wii Motion Plus is Soul Calibur, that wouldn't cost much and could sell something

about Dragon Ball, i can't say revenge of Piccolo is bad, but releasing something like BT4 that everyone is waiting for would be a more smart idea since Budokai Tenkaichi 3 sold 0.86 accoarding to VGC, and was releasing after Ps2 version...

Ehh, kinda serves them right. You gotta spend money to make money Namco, you know, like maybe ADVERTISING your games, or even, oh i don't know, LOCALIZING your games.

Sucks for the people losing their jobs because of the idiocy in management, though :(

thats what happens when you fail to create new IPs, and milk out old franchises till the fanbase dissipates.
